"Paranormal Activity 5" Finally Gets A Director! Details Here!

For those of you who have not heard the news, there is to be no "Paranormal Activity" film released to theaters this October like normal. In the place of it will be a Latin themed spinoff, called "Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones" which will open this January. This pushes "Paranormal Activity 5" back until October, 2014. As in the previous sequels, time will have to pass before we have any specific information on "Paranormal Activity 5". We do however know who will be writing and directing the film."Gregory Plotkin will make his directorial debut with Paranormal Activity 5, after having worked as the editor and co-producer on Paranormal Activity 3, 4, and The Marked Ones. Jason Pagan and Andrew Deutschman have been hired to tackle the story and will write “scriptments that will serve as the bas for "Paranormal Activity 5".. Recently, the writers worked together on Almanac, an upcoming found footage sci-fi film from Paramount."

Oren Peli and Jason Blum will once again be involved on the producing end. We probably will not hear much about this film until we get closer to October, 2014, but we expect to have much more information on "Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones" during the course of the next couple of months.
