Rob Zombie NOT doing Halloween 2? (WTF)

This seems really shaky as I am not sure why Scout would be this open or know more about the movie then anyone else but figured it was worth it to post it and let you guys decide. (credit Nick Meece for this article)

Contrary to many movie news tes (including this one), it appears that Rob Zombie has not been approached for Halloween 2...so says Scout Taylor-Compton.

Whilst chatting it up Scout via Stickam (yes, I have a Stickam account) I brought up the subject of Halloween 2. I asked her what her thoughts on Zombie returning to do the sequel were, and she responded, "Where did you hear that from?" And I shot back, "Pretty much every movie news te..originally ShockTillYouDrop."

And that's when she layed the hammer down, "Oh, I'm so ck of this. People need to stop believing what they read on Internet. I'm somewhat close with Rob and believe me, if there was any truth to this...I'd know."

So is that it? The final word? Time will tell I guess...

If shes the source of the LATEST news im not buying it. I doubt she's that close to Rob and Im sure he appreciates her sticking her nose in his affairs. lol im being hard on the sweet doe but lets face it she's not doing any good to stop the rumour mill by bacally starting a new one!

Until we hear something from Rob himself or Akkad/Weinstein...its all he said she said.

He's a new director and wants to be taken seriously. I doubt he would risk doing another Halloween. He'll stick with something original like t-rex where he has total control.

Carty makes a good point, however taking this under conderation makes me think otherwise; The bigest risk of him doing any HalloweeN would be the one he already remade. Seeing as how he has already done this one, nine chances out of ten he is going to pull the same cast back together and there's no need to get them firmiliar with one another for the rolls, and there's no need to worry about how he wants the scenes and settings seeing as how he already knows his boundrys and formula nse he has already done this before with the first remake. I feel that doing a sequel will only be easyer following what he has already done. He pretty much made HalloweeN his own by adding and changing alot of the film, however still kept it mular to the Original with the 2nd half. His only big challenges are what he would change in part 2 that would make it his own as well...

I'm not saying he will or wont make a sequel, but in my own opinion this is how I could see him looking at the tuation.

It's exactly what I think about it. HO1000Bodies were a real disaster. The Halloween fans, the most of it, hate the remake, and almost 100% don't want a RZ H2. I thought he'll give a break with this 'till he could have another stupid reamake to do. But this news ^^^ make me believe that everything is not lost! We got some hope that someone could change the bad image of the H1. All I know is if he wants to mess something, at least be his own shit...

I honestly think it's rumor about the Zombie return.

Again, I've seen multiple interviews with Zombie making it perfectly clear that we will not return.

Rather if she is "that" close with Zombie or not . . . you have to admit, it's pretty easy to start an internet rumor COUGH Justin COUGH I'd love for Zombie to return I just don't think it's going to happen.

They'll probably get some hack who doesn't follow in Zombie's style at all

I would also love to see another RZ veron.I loved the first one.I am crosng my fingers.lol As for a Jason VS Mikey, if I had it my way, it would be Dereks Jason, and Tyler mane as mikey.that would be one hell of a showdown. Jason would kick the shit out of the past mikeys.

I really wasn't that big of a fan of RZ's Halloween.

I liked it, Hell... it's a Halloween film.

But, I felt like they took the mysticism out of the character.

What was once the literal embodiment of the boogeyman, one who sees the degn of fate... Became just a disturbed kid who grew up, escaped from the hospital, and killed a bunch of people before being shot in the face.

Everything I loved about Michael, everything I found scary about him was ripped away.And I love Tyler, but I think he is a bit too large for Michael.

Having a huge Jason is fine, but Michael was always pretty normal ze wise... I hate how the films kept making him bigger and bigger and bigger until he is now a behemoth.

Michael is more than that.I think that's what most people hated about the remake, me included. I didn't mind the fact that he made Michael huge. I thought his ze added a bit more menace to the character. However, that was the only thing I liked about the remake. The rest was pretty dire and Rob Zombies wife and that fat kid that played Michael as a child couldn't act to save their lives. I've seen more charisma in a dry dog turd than I did in those two!

great question but with the magic of Tinseltown I am sure they will find a way. See when it comes down to the money they will find a way to make that bullet miss a major artery.
