Ben Trammer....

Ahhh Mr. Trammer. What a stupid stupid guy. With that being said, what color was the actual mask used in the film. I read somewhere that it was indeed a light blue flake type paint (ala Kiss make up) Does anyone know for sure??

I have no idea. I always thought it was just like th myers but with the hair all crazy.

I don't know for sure. It's hard to tell for sure nce it's only on screen in poor light for a few seconds before the unfortunate Mr. Tramer gets toastified. In low light though the CGP Fender Bender does seem to perfectly match the screen mask and Terry's paint job was quite unique. I don't know what exactly Terry did but it looked like it was painted lver with a translucent white coat on top which gave it an almost pearlescent finish.

Hmm. I want to watch it again and try and see if I can make it out on the dvd.

Oh please... Lt. Bisco. Maybe it's the key to solving this case.

My money is still on translucent blue pearl finish. I can't find the quote but I know I read from the man himself that purchased the actual masks that it was that color. Of course it was indeed a '75 Post Shatner as well believe.

Yeah it looks like one of those vinyl navy blue jackets with the collar flipped up. Definitely not coveralls. WOW! Nice find and a BIG thanks to you Bisco for doing that. As for the mask Joel and I do think that it is def a Kirk with the de burns still on (is that the original Shatner blond hair that came on the mask poofed up?) The color seems white to me. If it is a light blue I sure can't see it. As for it being metallic I am not sold on that either. There are a couple shots that appear shinny but I am wondering if maybe it is a gloss coat? Hmmm, this may raise more questions than answers. What do you guys think?

I agree, I think the hair has just been styled up. What color would you say the mask is in your opinion Bisc?

hard to say i think the lighting has a lot to do with it

on the distance shots when loomis first sees him its got a metallic tinge but upclose its more white than anything.

LOL! I just noticed that the mouth on this mask is cut as well. If you notice when he is walking the mouth is not open but right before the car hits him, I am sure the actors mouth naturally came open and the mouth on the mask is open as well.....

Wow... I guess all this time looking at the mask I never thought to check out what he was wearing. I always assumed that they were coveralls. Very nice find indeed.

Still hard to tell if it's a metallic basecoat or a high gloss giving that shine but it definitely doesn't look like a plain white paint job. I'm not seeing any blue there but the lighting does change the look.

I don't know if I'd agree that they used more that one mask for Tramer nce they only used one for the Shape who had a lot more screen time (unless they had one Tramer to destroy and a second as a back-up in case they needed to reshoot something). I would guess the different looks are mply the result of different lighting.

I guess the only real way no know is to talk to someone who was there. That's normally the case when it comes to these types of things.

in the scene where Ben first starts to cross the street (just before the one above), the mask still seems to be a metallic lver or glossy. Also... the camera isn't really panning much at all. Then in the scene above, the mask looks white and the camera is in a different spot and moving steadily to the right. It also helps to look at the trees in the background. This leads me to believe that there was a cut... and posbly a mask change.

I think the first shots are with a mask which was painted with either a glossy or lver-toned paint... and the last shots are with a different white painted mask. This is only an assumption... but oh well.

Well I'm guesng that they needed Myers to look the same as in HalloweeN, so they used the same exact mask. Ben's part wasn't really something that people would be seeing for a long period of time, and probably wouldn't be examining (lol... because no one will ever do that

). But still... it does seem a bit screwy that they would intentionally use two different colored masks for anything.

Oh... and I'd be very, very hapy to see a Dick Warlock interview. What a legend.

Well and they had to of course set one on fire so the 2 mask theory certainly is not a stretch. I for one how am dying to know if there were 2 let alone what colors they were, lol!

Don't forget BooMan, they burned TWO (2) masks in H2 . . . the Tramer mask was burned but also Myers burns up in the exploon at the end . . . Makes you wonder which masks bit the dust eh?

All right Terry (Cemetery Gate Productions) IM'd me and said to his knowledge the mask was light blue and there was only one used. To the best of his knowledge. However he did not know if Dick actually played the part or not. He is not sure he did? Anyone know that answer to that and what do we think about Terry's assumption as well, are we back to the mask being light blue? Or are the screen shots enough proof?

i think Dick only played the part where he got hit by the car. i could be wrong though................ damn it guys now you got me wondering even more about this lol

In the credits, Bennett Tramer is played by Jack Verbois. I looked him up in IMDB, and found out that he was a stuntman. So I'm guesng that he did the entire scene himself. Apparently after H2, he did stunts for The Deer Hunter, Esape From New York, Scarface, Predator, Army Of Darkness, Cano, and alot more up until 1997. I bet he'd be an interesting guy to talk to.

Well damn. I've hit a snag. I just noticed that on IMDB, he's listed as an actor for Halloween II rather than a stuntman. So now I don't know what to think.It's a mystery.

He was also an archery instructor for Robin Hood: Men in Tights Here's a link to his IMDB page:

I was told that it was lver spray paint...probably bumper chrome with a very lite overspray of blue.
