HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, I can't say I'm surprised but man can they stoop no lower?

This is the STUPIDEST idea I've ever . . . Sort of if you can't beat them then join them right?

I'm just really disappointed.

Maybe it will be a good movie but just this initial shock of the news coming out on the same weekend of Halloween 2's release is just obvious they are scrambling.

And worst of all, it's coming out summer of next year?

Can you say, "rush"?

I laugh at Hollywood and their money making schemes Well, the potive spin is we've got another one to over hype up and look forward to (I probably enjoy the hype aspect almost more than the movies themselves anymore)

So do we get to see snakes, bugs, and spiders coming out at you in 3D? That'd be cool!

No wait,this is practically insane

I have a nking feeling that H3 will be the final nail in the coffin for the series, at least for a long time.

The story as it is.... it's ruined.

To move on from where Rob left it is retarded... there isn't anywhere to go.

All the major players are either dead or locked up somewhere.

Bedes, without the core dynamic of the character back to where he used to be... it's going to suck. All I can hope for is that the "new direction" will be back to the way it used to be instead of the new crap, but I doubt it.

A continuation of what we have now is a travesty, just a bad idea in every sense of the word.

Hmmm... It'll be interesting to see how they pull this one off

I can't wait to hear who is doing it and how they plan to go on after this one.

My money says Zombie will be back. Malek got his way twice now, why not go for a third?

I'm not sure about the 3d gimmick. It's an old school idea but with the recent craze over it and the fact this is a Halloween movie...I don't know if I like it.

But, if RZ is nowhere in ght for this then I will try to have high hopes. It will be somewhat of a fresh start. If they pick up where H2 left off though, I will not be as hopeful. Unless they at least can Lurch Myers.

What do you guys think of a Halloween movie WITH Myers but set in small town America in the 1950's? a time when small towns looked like they did in Norman Rockwell paintings; a time before the counter culture revolution of the 60's; maybe the last times when superstitions and the idea of the boogeyman REALLY had an affect on people.

Michael could still have a mask and coveralls but the dynamics of the people in the story would be sooo different. it could be REAL atmospheric.

That would be pretty awesome. But i think what was great about Michael Myers is the Mystery surrounding him.

You hardly saw his face. You didn't know why he did what he does. Thats what horror is misng now a days is the fear of the unkown.

I mean all the trailers now show the creatures and monsters and when u see it in the actual movie its just like "eh".

Not a bad idea at all. Something milar to that had crossed my mind briefly once.

It has been rumored that Steve Miner, who directed Halloween H20, will direct this one too.

I can't say that I'm not pleased with this, H20 was great. :)

The whole 3-d thing is way too much of a gimmick for me. And i realize that 3-d technology has come along way nce i saw Jaws 3 years ago. Man what a terrible movie. And To be honest i thought Friday the 13th part 3 was a awful movie on it's own even if they hadn't added a bunch of pointless ght gags in it for the sake of 3-d. It seems to be a lot smoke and mirrors that doesn't help the story, which to me is what movies are all about. I don't want to see another Friday the 13th movie let alone one in 3-d.

To tell you the truth i’m tired of Jason and Michael Myers and Leatherface. How about some new slashers.Obviously alot of horror movies are based on other ideas and or movies.Halloween is responble for launching the slasher genre to begin with, but i’d rather see borrowed ideas in a new representation involving new plots and characters and somewhat of an original approach, than the same killers and bac storylines i’ve been watching over and over nce the 80’s.Maybe more movies based on horror novels may be a good idea.Brett Easton Ellis’s American Psycho adaptation was good movie in my opinion.I thought Ravenous was another great original horror movie in recent times. It is posble to do. But i guess when dealing with the movie industry the almighty dollar is at odds with originality.

That's cause most of the ones going to movies these days don't seem to have any imagination IMO and have to see the Killers and Monsters to have any interest.
