Brooke McCarter Passes Away

Brooke McCarter, the actor who portrayed Paul on THE LOST BOYS has passed away. McCarter died Tuesday at his home in Tampa from liver failure due to the genetic liver condition called alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AAT). He was 52 years old.

"surrounded by close family and friends, including his daughter Kaitlin McCarter, age 12. He will be remembered as a talented actor and musician. He was beloved son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend.

McCarter was born in 1963 in Philadelphia. He was a high school athlete as well as a model before he was cast in his best known screen role as Paul from THE LOST BOYS. He left Hollywood in 1998 to pursue a career in telecommunications.

Actor Alex Winter, who played vampire Marko in THE LOST BOYS, shared these words on Twitter:
