Upcoming RINGS Film Will Be A Prequel - More Within!

Quite a while back, we learned that a new THE RING film was indeed in the works and that director F. Javier Gutierrez was attached to helm the project which is officially titled RINGS.

According to B-D, RINGS will be a prequel, taking place before the 2002 remake that starred Naomi Watts. The story will be taking place years before the creation of said tape and tell the origin of Samara’s reign of terror.

RINGS will star Italian actress Matilda Lutz.



Akiva Goldsman, David Loucka and Jacon Aaron Estes penned the script which is based on the 1991 novel by Koji Suzuki. Laurie MacDonald and Walter Parkes will produce.
