Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

Not long ago the name of Jack Huston was being thrown around as a hopeful to take on the role of Eric Draven in the upcoming Corin Hardy directed THE CROW remake. Now reports say that the deal has been sealed and that Huston will indeed be taking on the iconic role. Speaking with DC, THE CROW creator James O'Barr says that “Jack Huston has definitely been cast,” that he was “really happy with that choice,” and that the film “will shoot in a couple of months.”

In additional casting news, O'Barr took part in a panel at The Lexington Comic and Toy Convention where he revealed that the role of Shelly, Eric's deceased girlfriend will be played by Jessica Brown Findlay.

O’Barr also stated that the majority of the cast will be British, and that the new film will shoot in Belgium. He also stated that the actual bird that accompanies Eric throughout the tale will be able to speak to him. O’Barr also made mention that the crow might be brought to life by way of stop motion animation.

O'Barr goes on to say that the hopes are that this new film will be a success so that the new franchise will be able to take on different characters in a variety of settings and time periods. He also says that the sequel would focus on a very punk, Joan Jett like female Crow as the lead.

THE CROW remake is set to begin production this spring and the script is being penned by Cliff Dorfman.

It all began as a dark fantasy action comic book story, in which rock musician Eric Draven is revived from the dead to avenge his murder and death of his girlfriend.

The original film spawned a number of sequels and a television series.
