Big News For THE OMEN TV Series!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

The 1976 Richard Donner film THE OMEN captivated audiences with the clever ways in which it showed the wickedness working through the Anti-Christ in the form of the child Damien. To this day it stands tall within the current generation and is held in very high regard. Then back in 2006 a remake of the classic hit the scene in John Moore's THE OMEN which saw a some success financially and earned mixed reactions from fans across the world.

Back in December, we reported the news that Lifetime would be launching a series adapted from THE OMEN titled DAMIEN.

We have now learned that the series will be instead moving to the Lifetime's sister network A&E. The move should be a better fit for the show as A&E already airs THE RETURNED and BATES MOTEL.

Also we have learned that the DAMIEN series will now be ten episodes in length rather than six as previously slated.

A&E's upcoming follow up series will be based on the classic Horror film, and will see Damien grown up and following him as he comes to grips with the fact that he is the Antichrist.

Bradley James, who portrayed Arthur Pendragon in the popular television show MERLIN, will be taking on the titular role of Damien.

Glen Mazzara, former showrunner for THE WALKING DEAD, will be the driving force behind the series along with Ross Fineman. Production has begun on the project but no release date has been revealed as of yet.

We will continue to bring you more on the DAMIEN TV series as it unfolds.
