A genetic scientist creates the first human clone, but then an earlier experiment threatens to destroy everything he's built and puts his family in grave danger. From writer/director Billy Senese comes his modern day Frankenstein style thriller CLOSER TO GOD. Uncork'd and Breaking Glass will release the film next month and it undertakes not only the complicated moral and social issues of human cloning but also the inevitability of evolutionary and technological change. Synopsis:

“Dr. Victor Reed, a brilliant geneticist who has just achieved a huge scientific breakthrough by successfully cloning the first human being, an adorable baby girl named Elizabeth. This immediately becomes a media spectacle and ignites a firestorm of debate concerning the moral and religious implications of such a discovery. Soon, Dr. Reed and his family lose all sense of privacy and safety as they are swarmed by protesters and the media. Their biggest threat, however, could be Victor’s own secret.”


CLOSER TO GOD will be in select theaters as well as VOD on July 3rd.
