Update On Upcoming Horror Anthology HOLIDAYS Within!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

Horror and the holidays are two ideas that go really well together. While the two are complete opposites, they can sometimes create when united. Over the years Horror has taken certain days of celebration and twisted them into tales of Terror and it continues on.

Back in February it was announced that a new Horror anthology titled HOLIDAYS was on the way courtesy of XYZ Films and Distant Corners Entertainment.

Brief description:

"a group of subversive tales fashioned around globally recognized celebrations like Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Mother’s Day."

Producer John Hegeman previously had this to say about the project:

"Holidays is a great opportunity for some of the most creative and twisted minds in the genre space today to really let loose and have fun. This is the first project going into production for Distant Corners, which aims to launch four-six genre franchise properties annually."

With production now underway, it has been revealed which Holiday each director will be handling:

"St. Patrick's Day, directed by Gary Shore (Dracula Untold); Valentine’s Day, directed by Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch (Starry Eyes); Easter, directed by Nicholas McCarthy (The Pact); Mothers’ Day, directed by Sarah Adina Smith (The Midnight Swim); Fathers’ Day, directed by Anthony Scott Burns (Manifold); Christmas, directed by Scott Stewart (Dark Skies); and Hollow Ian, directed by Kevin Smith (Clerks)."

There is currently no release date as of yet.

We will continue to bring you more on HOLIDAYS as it unfolds.
