Update On The CABIN FEVER Remake Within!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

It has been almost a year now since we learned the news that a reboot of Eli Roth’s Horror thriller CABIN FEVER would be made under Travis Zariwny's direction. Back then the idea was for the film to be shot from the exact same script that Roth previously directed back in 2002, as opposed to going through a long, delayed studio development process.

Then back in March Roth stated that he was "blown away" by the remake.

We have now learned that IFC has acquired the North American rights to the CABIN FEVER reboot. The story follows a group of five college graduates who rent a cabin in the woods. Soon, all hell breaks loose, as the group falls victim to a flesh-eating virus that attracts the unwanted attention of the homicidal locals.

CABIN FEVER stars Gage Golightly, Matthew Daddario, Samuel Davis, Nadine Crocker, and Dustin Ingram.

Director Travis Zariwny says of making the film:

“It was a great opportunity to recreate an iconic film for a new generation of horror fans. I am a die hard fan of horror films and the king of horror Eli Roth trusted me to re-imagine his film. I was not going to fail.”

The film was produced by Evan Astrowsky, Christopher Lemole, and Tim Zajaros, and was executive produced by Roth, Cassian Elwes, Jerry Fruchtman, Peter Fruchtman and Ike and Jaclyn Suri.

IFC Midnight will be releasing CABIN FEVER in 2016.
