Last year, an almost 3-minute short Horror film by the name of LIGHTS OUT (see below) became a surprise hit on the internet. Created by Swedish director David Sandberg, the viral video went on to catch the eye of New Line Cinema who have now teamed with Sandberg and producer James Wan's production company Atomic Monster in order to create a feature length film out of the idea.
LIGHTS OUT is now in post-production and New Line must have liked what Sandberg and Wan created together as we have learned that the film will be hitting theaters next July.
The film stars Gabriel Bateman and Teresa Palmer.
"a young boy and his estranged sister, who are confronted by an evil entity that only appears when the lights are out."
The 3-minute short version of LIGHTS OUT.
Look for LIGHTS OUT to hit theaters on July 22, 2016.
