UNDERWORLD is a series of action Horror films that began in 2003 and has sequels that include UNDERWORLD: EVOLUTION (2006), UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS (2009), and UNDERWORLD: AWAKENING (2012).

Around one year ago, in regards to the upcoming fifth UNDERWORLD film, the question was asked on the official Facebook page, "What do you think the title should be?" The question brought in many thousands of replies.

Well the results have finally made it in and we have learned the official title of the fifth entry will now be UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS.



The film was originally working under the title of UNDERWORLD: NEXT GENERATION or UNDERWORLD 5 during production.

As far as details go, things are being kept tight lipped on the screenplay which was written by Cory Goodman. Anna Foerster will be making her directorial debut steering the ship.

UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS stars Kate Beckinsale as vampiric Death Dealer Selene, Theo James will play her ally David, Tobias Menzies as the leader of the Lycans, Bradley James will portray an unknown villain, Clementine Nicholson as a Nordic warrior, Lara Pulver as a fiercely ambitious vampire, Charles Dance as Covenmaster Thomas, and James Faulkner, Peter Andersson, and Daisy Head in unspecified roles.

Screen Gems/Lakeshore Entertainment will be releasing UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS into theaters October 14th.
