Fresh News On THE CROW Remake Within!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

Back in July of last year, Relativity Media's THE CROW remake was well into the pre-production process when the company had to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy. This of course brought everything to a screeching halt. The project had previously lost several possible directors such as Stephen Norrington, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, and F. Javier Gutierrez. The film had even found it's director in Corin Hardy, (THE HALLOW).

The plan was for Relativity Media to rise up out of the ashes of this bankruptcy situation, and make THE CROW remake their top priority.

We have just learned that Relativity Media has now lost the rights to the project. Samuel Hadida’s Davis Films, Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow have aquired the rights, and will finance the picture provided that it ever gets made. The plan is for THE CROW remake to begin production in January as previously planned.

Many actors have taken a stab at auditioning for the lead role, but finding the right actor to portray Eric Draven, previously played by Brandon Lee, has been a major issue. Jason Momoa was the last one slated to take on the iconic role. His name is still being considered.

The Crow began as a dark fantasy action comic book story, in which rock musician Eric Draven is revived from the dead to avenge his murder and death of his girlfriend.

The original film spawned a number of sequels as well as a television series.

We will continue to bring you more on THE CROW remake as it unfolds.
