LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS To Be Remade Again!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is originally a quirky 1960 movie from Roger Corman that featured a milquetoast florist who discovers success with a human-eating plant. It was turned into an off-Broadway musical, which led to a second movie in 1986, directed by Frank Oz that starred Rick Moranis and Steve Martin.

Back in 2012 there were plans to get the remake going and things did not work out then.

We have just learned that Warner Bros. has plans to create yet another remake of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. Greg Berlanti has been selected to direct the film. Berlanti has served as executive producer on shows such as THE FLASH, ARROW, AND SUPERGIRL.

Variety reports that the new remake of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS will be a musical, but there is no word if or which previous film the music will call from.

Marc Platt will produce, along with Sarah Schechter as executive producer.

Synopsis:

"Meek flower shop assistant Seymour pines for co-worker Audrey. During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, which feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store. After Seymour feeds Audrey's boyfriend, Orin, to the plant after Orin's accidental death, he must come up with more bodies for the increasingly bloodthirsty plant."

We will continue to bring you more on the next LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS remake as we hear it.
