2 More New Images Emerge From ALIEN: COVENANT - More Within!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

The film PROMETHEUS arrived back in 2012 which became a huge hit at the box office and of course it makes perfect sense to have a sequel. Director Ridley Scott has been working on the upcoming ALIEN: COVENANT which will be the PROMETHEUS sequel and serve as a prequel to the ALIEN movies.

With filming having wrapped months ago, things are really moving forward in a very positive direction. We just recently brought you a couple of new images from ALIEN COVENANT, and today we bring you two additional shots to enjoy.

In the first image we see a dark and mysterious hallway. This was posted on the official ALIEN franchise Facebook page with the caption reading "185612082104."

We then see an image courtesy of EW, showing Katherine Waterston's character Daniels, who is a crew member aboard the Covenant, looking ready for a showdown.

Also, the rumors have finally been proven true as it has just been confirmed that James Franco has officially joined the cast of ALIEN: COVENANT.

Franco joins a cast that is made up of Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Benjamin Rigby, Callie Hernandez and Billy Crudup.

Earlier in the year, Michael Fassbender had this to say about ALIEN COVENANT:

“It’s much scarier than Prometheus, but it’s got the same sort of scope of Prometheus.”

Adding that:

“It’s kind of got more of thriller, imminent disaster feel that Alien had, so it’s kind of a beautiful meeting of both of those films. I’m really excited to see it, I think it’s gonna be super scary number one and then again with the massive scope of Prometheus… Once it starts and the ball starts rolling, it doesn’t let up. It’s really gonna bring chills to the cinema.”

The film was written by Michael Green, Jack Paglen, and John Logan.

Synopsis:

"Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."

ALIEN: COVENANT will arrive in theaters on May 19th.
