With many years of nothing but silence, Horror fans can look forward to seeing Jigsaw return for one more entry into the SAW franchise courtesy of Lionsgate.
The upcoming eighth entry into the franchise has been coming along for a while now things are beginning to come into the light as B-D reports that the body of John Kramer, aka Jigsaw, who died in SAW III is to be exhumed for some reason.
Here is the description that the site gives:
“Bodies turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one man: John Kramer. But how can this be? The man known as Jigsaw has been dead for over a decade. Or has an apprentice picked up the mantle of Jigsaw, perhaps even someone inside the investigation?”
This would indicate that Tobin Bell, who portrayed Jigsaw, will return for SAW: LEGACY in some form.
In addition to Bell, the cast is made up of Laura Vandervoort, Hannah Anderson, Mandela Van Peebles, Brittany Allen, Callum Keith Rennie, Matt Passmore, Josiah Black, Shaquan Lewis, Michael Bolsvert, and James Gomez.
Two previous apprentices of Jigsaw, Costas Mandylor and Cary Elwes will not be appearing LEGACY.
The team of Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger were hired on to pen the script for SAW: LEGACY. In addition to that, SAW franchise creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell are also on-board as executive producers. Michael and Peter Spierig direct.
SAW: LEGACY will be arriving into theaters on October 27, 2017.
