The Very Latest On SAW: LEGACY Within!

The upcoming eighth installment into the SAW franchise continues to build the momentum and keeping fans eager to see what lurks ahead as SAW: LEGACY is set to arrive this fall.

With that in mind, it has been confirmed that MPAA has given SAW: LEGACY an R-rating for “Sequences of grisly bloody violence and torture, and for language”.

The film takes place ten years after the death of Jigsaw.

The new SAW film will pick up a decade after the death of the Jigsaw during the investigation of a new string of murders that fit his modus operandi. Composer Charlie Clouser has said the new SAW is a "reinvention" of the saga , adding that:

"the Spierig brothers can deliver a fresh take on the material that will establish a new story line and new characters that can carry the saga into the future."

Michael and Peter Spierig direct from a script written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger.

SAW: LEGACY stars Tobin Bell, Mandela Van Peebles, Hannah Anderson, Laura Vandervoort (see below), Brittany Allen, Callum Keith Rennie, Matt Passmore, Hannah Emily Anderson, Josiah Black, Shaquan Lewis, Michael Bolsvert, and James Gomez.

SAW: LEGACY is set to arrive into theaters this Halloween.
