RESIDENT EVIL Franchise To Be Rebooted!

Based on the popular Capcom video game series, the RESIDENT EVIL franchise brought a bit of sadness to fans as THE FINAL CHAPTER was released not that long ago. However, that does not mean that there is not more Evil to come. It turns out that a reboot is in the making.

The RESIDENT EVIL franchise will indeed be rebooted as Variety spoke with Constantin Film’s head of production Martin Moszkowicz at the Cannes Film Festival who confirmed this.

RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER was able to pull in $312 million worldwide, so it comes as no surprise that Constantin Film wants to reboot the franchise.

We do know that James Wan will be on board as producer. It is unknown if director Paul W.S. Anderson or star Milla Jovovich will be involved. The screenplay was written by Greg Russo. There are no further details on the project at this time.
