Ripley’s Mother To Appear In Future ALIEN Sequel?

This was the year that we finally received Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated film ALIEN: COVENANT. It served as a sequel to PROMETHEUS and brought us one step closer to the original ALIEN film.

One thing that many fans have expressed is that COVENANT needed Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley in some form. Granted, she has not even been born yet in the current timeline, but the future could bring us closer to that.

Director Ridley Scott appears to have some plans in mind as he recently told a blogger in an interview in regards to Ripley’s mother:

“We’re heading towards the back end of the first Alien, so that may be feasible, but Ripley’s going to be somebody’s daughter, obviously... I think you’re probably two films out from even considering her.”

Wow that is nice to know. Not only are there plans to introduce the mother of Ripley but Scott also once again confirmed that he wants to create at least two more ALIEN films.

Look for ALIEN: COVENANT to arrive on Blu-ray & Digital HD August 15th.
