Major News On THE CROW Remake Within!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

Back in July of 2015, Relativity Media's THE CROW remake was well into the pre-production process when the company had to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy. This of course brought everything to a screeching halt. The project had previously lost several possible directors such as Stephen Norrington, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, and F. Javier Gutierrez. The film had even found it's director in Corin Hardy, (THE HALLOW).

The plan was for Relativity Media to rise up out of the ashes of this bankruptcy situation, and make THE CROW remake their top priority. At the end of last year, we learned that Relativity Media had lost the rights to the project.

As it all turns out, Sony Pictures has now just acquired the rights to THE CROW: REBORN, or whatever they decide to call it.

Corin Hardy is still set to direct the film at this point with Jason Momoa still rumored to possibly taking on the iconic lead role of Eric Draven.

THE CROW began as a dark fantasy action comic book story, in which rock musician Eric Draven is revived from the dead to avenge his murder and death of his girlfriend.

The original film spawned a number of sequels as well as a television series.

1994 synopsis:

“The night before his wedding, musician Eric Draven (Brandon Lee) and his fiancée are brutally murdered by members of a violent inner-city gang. On the anniversary of their death, Eric rises from the grave and assumes the gothic mantle of the Crow, a supernatural avenger. Tracking down the thugs responsible for the crimes and mercilessly murdering them, Eric eventually confronts head gangster Top Dollar (Michael Wincott) to complete his macabre mission.”

We will continue to bring you more on THE CROW Remake as we hear it.
