Update On CHILDREN OF THE CORN: RUNAWAY!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

When it comes to making sequels in a franchise, the process can be very tricky and done for many reasons. Take for instance how Dimension has been wanting to remake CHILDREN OF THE CORN and HELLRAISER. Sure CHILDREN OF THE CORN has already been remade but Dimension had no involvement. So whenever their projects fail to take shape, they improvise. This was the case for 2011's CHILDREN OF THE CORN: GENESIS and HELLRAISER: REVELATIONS.

Just after production wrapped on HELLRAISER: JUDGMENT, Dimension Films and producer Mike Leahy dove right into production on CHILDREN OF THE CORN: RUNAWAY which used the same Oklahoma soundstage that was used to film HELLRAISER: JUDGMENT. With both films wrapping quiet sometime ago, we have heard updates on HELLRAISER: JUDGMENT courtesy of the new Pinhead Paul T. Taylor and director Gary J. Tunnicliffe, but what about the new CHILDREN OF THE CORN film?

Star Marci Miller has revealed on Instagram that CHILDREN OF THE CORN: RUNAWAY is currently doing some ADR and is aiming to be released around February/March.

CHILDREN OF THE CORN: RUNAWAY stars Marci Miller, Mary Kathryn Bryant, Jake Ryan Scott, and JR Hatchett. The film is directed by FEAST director John Gulager, who had an acting role in HELLRAISER: JUDGMENT. Joel Soisson wrote the script for RUNAWAY which:

"follows a young pregnant woman who escapes a murderous child cult in a small Midwestern town (Gatlin, Nebraska?). She then spends the next decade living anonymously in an attempt to spare her son the Horrors that she experienced as a child. She lands in the small Oklahoma town... but something is following her. Now, she must confront this evil or lose her child."

We will continue to bring you the latest on CHILDREN OF THE CORN: RUNAWAY as we hear it.
