As you may know, the new LEATHERFACE prequel is now available. The latest entry into the TEXAS CHAINSAW franchise, the film was received well by some while others refused to give the film a chance.
Regardless of anything, Producer Christa Campbell is very proud to have seen the film come into fruition, as she was also responsible for TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D, which was a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s original classic.
So where does this leave the TEXAS CHAINSAW franchise? According to Campbell, this is the end of the road for her in the franchise as she reveals:
These comments from Campbell have many speculating that the franchise could possibly be in line for yet another reboot. Only time will tell.
“In Texas, years before the events of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family, the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriffs’ daughter dead. Ten years later, he kidnaps a young nurse and escapes with 3 other inmates. Pursued by authorities including the deranged sheriff out to avenge his daughter’s death, the young Sawyer teen goes on a violent road trip from hell, molding him into the monster known now as Leatherface.”
LEATHERFACE stars Stephen Dorff, Lili Taylor, Vanessa Grasse, Sam Strike, Jessica Madsen, Finn Jones, James Bloor, Nicole Andrews, Julian Kostov, and Sam Coleman.
We will keep our ears open on any word for anything Leatherface.
