Some time ago the Horror World got some big news in that the new HALLOWEEN film is coming from Blumhouse, and they have acquired none other than the original Laurie Strode herself, Jamie Lee Curtis. We also learned that Judy Greer is likely to play Strode’s daughter, with actress Andi Matichak in line to play the granddaughter of Laurie Strode Director David Gordon Green and his writing partner Danny McBride ready for to create their new vision that is John Carpenter approved.
Then the news came that the man that played Michael Myers/The Shape in the original film, Nick Castle, would be reprising the role in the new HALLOWEEN sequel.
We have just learned that Christopher Nelson, who won a "Best Achievement in Makeup" Oscar for his work on SUICIDE SQUAD, has been chosen to lead the special effects department in the upcoming HALLOWEEN film.
Nelson has previously worked on such as projects as RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 3, the KILL BILL movies, SIN CITY, THE WALKING DEAD, and THE TRIPPER. Joining Nelson will be Vincent Van Dyke, who is known for his work on GREY’S ANATOMY and NIP/TUCK.
In other HALLOWEEN news, Tyler Mane, who played Myers in the Rob Zombie HALLOWEEN films, had this to say about Nick Castle coming back to reprise the iconic role:
