Dario Argento's 1977 classic Horror film SUSPIRIA is considered by many fans to be one of the very best movies ever made. Plans to create a remake were talked about for a while but never amounted to anything. There were even ideas for the film to take the possible television series route.
Then back in 2015 we learned that Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino had been selected to replace David Gordon Green as director for the SUSPIRIA remake.
We have learned that the SUSPIRIA remake will be released into theaters on November 2nd.
The SUSPIRIA remake stars Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Chloƫ Grace Moretz, Mia Goth, and the original film's lead actress, Jessica Harper.
Director Luca Guadagnino's career has mostly been made up of shorts and documentaries. He has a few feature dramas to his credit including the thriller A BIGGER SPLASH, which is a remake of 1969's LA PISCINE
Synopsis:
"As a darkness builds at the center of a world-renown dance company, its artistic director (Swinton), a young American new to the troupe (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Ebersdorf) become entangled in a bloody, sighing nightmare."
David Kajganich wrote the script which is based on Dario Argento's classic film.
Remember to mark your calendars for November 2nd as this is the date that the SUSPIRIA remake will hit theaters.
