Update On IT Sequel!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

The Losers’ Club took down Pennywise when they were kids, and soon they must take on the killer clown once again as adults in IT: CHAPTER TWO. There are some new additions to the upcoming film.

New Line tells EW that James Ransone will be playing the adult version of Eddie Kaspbrak in the follow-up film.

In addition, Variety is reporting that actor Andy Bean will play the adult version of Stanley Uris.

The sequel will be set 27 years after the 1989 IT setting and will be based off of the Stephen King Novel of the same name. Filming is expected to begin this summer in Toronto with Andy Muschietti returning to direct.

“A story of strong friendships, strained families, and unimaginable Horrors, IT (2017) follows a young group of outcasts known as the Losers' Club as they team up to face a manipulative force known as It that resurfaces every 27 years in their small town of Derry to feed on human flesh marinated by fear. The sequel will pick up nearly three decades later with the Losers' Club now in their 30s, as they must try to muster up the courage to return to Derry to defeat It—once and for all.”
Variety previously made the report that Bill Hader is in talks to take on the role of Richie Tozier and James McAvoy in being considered for the role of the adult version of Bill Denbrough. Jessica Chastain is in negotiations to play Beverly Marsh.

Bill Skarsgard is expected to reprise his role as Pennywise. Gary Dauberman is writing the screenplay for the sequel.

IT: CHAPTER TWO is currently slated for a September 6th, 2019 release from Warner Bros.
